Yoga Basics — Designed for those just beginning a yoga practice. Essential for those
who will continue on to Level 1-2.
YOGA Level 1-2 — Moderate; ideal for those ready to deepen their practice and move from
Yoga Basics into a more moderately paced class.
YOGA Level 2-3 — Energetic; NOT for first time students. It is advised that you have
regularly attended class and have an understanding of the basic poses,
standing poses, inversions, arm balances, backbends and sun salutation.
A challenging, stimulating class.
Contemplative Yoga — A blend of slow stretching, mindful postures, meditative movement and yogic awareness, intended to open and enliven the body. The practice invites inner quiet and personal inquiry. Prior yoga experience helpful, not essential.
Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement® — The Feldenkrais Method of Somatic Education uses gentle movement and directed attention to improve and enhance human functioning. Students are verbally guided through a sequence of movements in basic positions: sitting, lying on the floor or standing. These precisely structured movement explorations engage your brain to observe and discover your habits. By increasing awareness, you will learn to abandon habitual patterns of movement and develop new alternatives, resulting in improved flexibility, coordination and power. Whether you are interested in getting rid of everyday aches and pains, improving your atheletic performance or coping with a chronic health issue, Feldenkrais will empower you to become your own best teacher. This class is appropriate for all ages and abilities.
Gentle Yoga — This class is designed to meet students where they are-- whether recovering from illness or injury, searching for a healthier life-style, or wishing to develop deeper, more mindful postures. Taught in the Kripalu style of yoga, this 1 1⁄4 hour classes offers props, warm-up exercises, breath work and modified postures to help students find a comfortable and steady yoga practice.
Open to all levels— A mixed levels class, available for beginners to those who have an on-going yoga practice.
Pilates Mat — A stimulating class for both the mind as well as the body. It is a unique system of exercises designed to strengthen and tone muscles, improve posture, provide flexibility and balance and create a more streamlined shape. The emphasis is on the core and the breath; however, Pilates works all of the muscles, all of the time.
Restorative — Open to all who want to relax deeply. Ideal for those chronically stressed.
Be prepared to be still and let go.
Soul Dance — A movement practice of exploration, dance and discovery. Our bodies are deeply wise, and we carry much! Soul Dance allows us to move what is there, and discover the treasures within. The practice is as simple as showing up, and as complex as we are. We will be guided by the medicine of music, to dance and be danced. Please join this gathering of conscious movers!
The Yin and the Yang of Yoga — Chris will offer this class, appropriate for all levels, approaching yoga from a Taoist perspective. The practice will work with Yin nature, which is receptive, allowing cooling and calming, and Yang nature which is active, movement oriented and energizing to bring balance to our bodies, hearts and minds. She will draw from over 30 years of yoga experience from various traditions and is looking forward to having fun with this class.

What should you bring?
Bring clean, bare feet, no gum and an empty stomach. Clothing should be comfortable and allow for free range of movement / motion. Students at BBC wear leggings, tights, running shorts or yoga pants and a top that will stay in place, or can be tucked in for inverted poses. Flowing or baggy clothes can get in your way when performing your poses. Dress comfortably. Please come without heavy jewelry and perfume. A
limited number of mats are provided but a personal mat would encourage
a practice at home.
Please advise your instructor before class if you have
any significant health problems, recent surgery or are pregnant.
